Ingredients
- 1/2 cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp spring onions whites (finely chopped)
- 1 1/2 tbsp spring onion greens (finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1 1/2 tbsp low fat curds (dahi)
- 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
- Salt to taste
Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft smooth dough, using water.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
- Roll out into a circle of 125 mm diameter, using whole wheat flour.
- Place the roti on a non-stick pan. Turnover in a few seconds.
- Cook the other side for a few more seconds.
- Lift the roti with a pair of flat tongs and roast over an open flame till brown spots appear on both sides.
- Repeat with the remaining portions to make 3 more rotis.
- Serve hot.
